Re: I do the dishes.

I wouldn't change a thing. New news, same radio. New cup of coffee, same taste. Love these opening lines They say milk contains sugars but it tastes like bones. The news announcer speaks in a rush as if we're all drowning. I turn it off, now it's almost silent, a few birds distantly calling. My pen ...

Aha! I see you have moved into your geometrical abstract phase! It feels to me as if a bit of a fight is going on. I think Red is winning and is using the kind of hammers used to play vibes. Yellow is wisely holding back.   Very enjoyable Thanks Seth. Chuffed it raised a smile. :) C...

Wow! A wonderful ridge and mountain. Isn't it just. Jeez. I didn't realise the sheer vastness of the arête in the Lake District. Stunning. :) Hope the painting does justice to this startling arête. Certainly does. I googled it as I have never been to the Lakes, and yes, you most certainly have done ...

Re: South Shields Surf (SSS)

Now this brings the drama of the ocean JJ. The waves ever changing as they bombard their way to the shore, shamelessly belting out their salty sea song. The seagulls are mere backing singers screaming to be heard. THIS is the childhood thrill of Trow Rock you described and I so wanted to feel. You’v...

Re: You never bring me flowers

You've achieved your goal, Pauline. Whooo! Cheers JJ. I'm so glad it worked. They really are quite striking and expressive in appearance and clearly linked. There's also a definite feeling of impasto, where thick layers are applied for texture and depth. Yay. I've never done this effect JJ, so I'm ...

You never bring me flowers anymore..jpg My first attempt at flowers. Not a subject I usually do. Hey FT. This made me smile. :)
There's not an awful lot of trimming needed to make this "Flow".
Can't believe I said that.
Keep it in the first person.
Gives it a stronger delivery.
Shave away the unneccaries and you've cracked it :)
Look forward to your revision. :)
