The Bad Co.

Post by brianedwards » Fri Nov 25, 2011 10:56 am

The Bad Co.

for Ian B.

One time we glittered like a Christmas tree.
Mo' bling than kings. Mo' ladies. Better rides.
The whole crew had mo' bread than Lammastide.
360s spun on cranium, hands or knees

damn guaranteed to raise all kindsa hell.
My man LaRude made dervish swirls look easy
as tightrope twists performed by Big Chief Cheesy,
spinning wax like they was fontanelles.

Now we broken up as Christmas ornaments,
attic-stashed, bones rattling in a sack,
bodies-popped, headspinning on a spike,
moves as stale as day-old deodorant.

I'm out. Yo' love 'n' props to my Old Skool Crews:
Lone Danger. Sidney Pauper. Mighty Moose.

 Who needs google when we've got Brian?
Rosencrantz: What are you playing at? Guildenstern: Words. Words. They're all we have to go on.

At last a refreshing Christmas poem. S3 feels slightly different to other though not enough to spoil this for me.

christmas?
Do I have to google? really?
Is this a tribute to someone?
Anyway never mind all the questions.
I like it, except I read apostrophes like this:
"Mo' bling than kings."
as archaic ommissions, because I'm.....British, and then I wonder what Morbling is, but I think I can, you know, dig it. Give me a minute.

Wow! I thought I was setting an impossible task!

Kudos Brian.

For those not in the know, it's from here: http://poetsgraves.co.uk/forum/viewtopi ... 49#p133443

Ian

p.s.

Maybe now you should specify an impossible poem and somebody else can write it. Needless to say: "that way madness lies" but it's one of the old insanities that we've known about for years...

Oh my god. Brian you are unbelievable.
I thought maybe you'd been in a breakdancing troupe together in the past though it seemed unlikely.
Good task too!
