Big Ideas (don't get any)

Post by thoke » Fri Mar 21, 2014 4:33 pm

Perhaps it's the colour of skin
That did you in. Inside
The cave the shadows danced
Never before so vigorously,
Singing from the dirty street.

Gin is a drink,
If you know what I mean.
No, nor do I.
Sometimes it's hard making sense
With typing fingers;

Any attempt seems like a waste
Unless you get a proper taste.
Many ways to lose your ladder,
Everyone is even badder.
Don't get up, I'll empty your bladder.

Stop trying to do things,
There's no point in trying.
India is not paradise.
Latvia is similarly not paradise.
Lithuania is another.

The future is yellow.
Free money trickles down in golden showers
Across this labyrinth of tiny islands.
Drink plenty, you are a mug,
Needy person with somewhere to go.

0123467589 spot the typo.
75 is not an age to die;
After death you will be dead,
Forever.
Think about it.

Eden never existed.
Rum is also a drink.
0000000000
Brrrr it's cold.
I don't know what it is but it's cold.

Naked in the nation,
A house in flames, feeling happy
Like an idiot
On a planet alien to others. People scream,
Cards are dealt, code is entered; everything is in its right place

As it was when you were a child.
'Fornication' is a pointless word.
Rare birds are uncommon.
Stop writing now.

Hi Ben,

From beginning to end, your sentences move from complex to very simple. And the opinions get progressively sillier? Guided by gin and rum? The title, though, seems to describe a state, not a process.

It's probably because I have my own blank sheet of paper here in front of me, that I don't feel inspired to read about someone else's! :(

Not sure what you mean.

really like the automatic writing / stream of consciousness vibe. Not a great fan of the third bit, all that bladder/ladder etc but think it really picks up in India. I'm not going to say I understand what any of it means but that's what I enjoyed about it.

I can imagine The Fall "singing" this which is high praise indeed!
After one look at this planet any visitor from outer space would say 'I want to see the manager.
