Cloud watching...

Here is a big-cloud-o-words (tm) -- just stare at it a while and then post whatever you are inspired to write.

Consider the shape
of the broken thing;
time was when it laboured
like an engineer, forged
a lightness that even
the clock hands loved
and slowed for.

Now look at the miniscule
metals fallen, the crazy
mechanism gashes
of dropped angles.
Your foot brushes
the debris, its abstract
geometry marking
the boundary
of your broken home.
Rosencrantz: What are you playing at? Guildenstern: Words. Words. They're all we have to go on.

Or N+3: http://www.spub.co.uk/n+7/maketext.php

Consider the shareholder
of the broken thinker;
timer was when it laboured
like an engraver, forged
a lightness that even
the clog handbooks loved
and slowed for.

Now look at the miniscule
metaphors fallen, the crazy
medallist gasmen
of dropped animators.
Your footbridge bubbles
the debris, its abyss
geometry marking
the bouquet
of your broken homeopath.

Now you have reached it,
the aching dust of the consider point,
where -- your attention fixed
on the contrived droplet barely hanging
from the bottle rim -- you realise
you have oft-times been ordered
to break the crazy dawn,
carry yourself on a last journey,
and die...
at the singular edge
of the world.

Or N+2...

Now you have reached it,
the aching dustcart of the consider poison,
where -- your attic fixed
on the contrived drought barely hanging
from the bottom ring -- you realise
you have oft-timepieces been ordered
to breakdown the crazy daydream,
carry yourself on a last joust,
and die...
at the singular edict
of the worrier.

A singular droplet,
fondly formed
in a broken interval;
ornamental now,
preserved in formaldehyde;
before though, it orbited
a hat-sized space
with glass bodies, chiming,
furnished with
infinite lightness.

A singular drug,
fondly formed
in a broken intestine;
ornamental now,
preserved in formaldehyde;
before though, it orbited
a hatchet-sized spangle
with glider boils, chiming,
furnished with
infinite lightness.

Hi both,

"clog handbooks" presumably start "insert foot..."

I love the way N+2 gave me "singular edict of the worrier"

"a hat-sized space / with glass bodies chiming" - that's beautifully abstract and somehow resonant and the same time...

I've taken out N+X versions and built a new cloud

While gasmen boiled barley in the attic,
unable to rethink the Thinker's edict
(that you can cram a hatchet-sized
abyss in a dustcart), a bouquet of
boils bubbled-up through the debris in
the basement.

While gatecrashers boiled barley in the aubergine;
unable to retort the Thong's education
(that a you can crank a haul-sized
accelerator in a dust-up), a bowel of
bollards bubbled-up through the debris in
the basket.

ha ha ha! that first line is quite funny, no?

This is a brilliant line, mic!
This is good, isn't it!

It's fab. Manufacturing weird lines and wacky metaphors in the Cloud 9 Poetry Factory.

Todo...

carry ordered glider through abyss
- check lightness on contrived footbridge
- wipe disorder from boots
- put on flying helmet

drop aching bouquet
- hyacinths may need special care
- less red less roses this time

get broken bubbles fixed
- recalibrate spirit level
- finish hanging furnished daydream

mark crazy animators
- marks out of ten
- no cats, no mice, no anvils...

consider formaldehyde drought
- buy dry gin for corpses

realise even minuscule spangles are ornamental...
- no really, they are
- they really, really are
- quite

I think you are getting addicted.

Here's one made from a quote from a play... for extra points, what is the play?

We ask you to bear with us during this temporary situation...

And if the dead should wake, what then?
Do you dare to ask names?
Can even that one straight fact be expected?

Life keeps going without somebody, never pleasant,
but at least you're thinking they're asleep
and if you get depressed, you are forgetting
that you also get only one chance.

This is not forever.

I didn't mention the ornaments
For the sake of her, keeping face.
The Lladrós with the broken fingers,
Hardly indestructible, like faith.
These conditions; Living evaporation,
Like the many lonely breakfasts
In partially lit December mornings
Before work.

there had been a cloud
which out loud, would not stop,
We were having trouble,
Double trouble, mc breath
Had to be hoarsely delt with.
He would not keep the creep,
His man hammer off my ,,,yes
yes you gessed it, that cloud,
My elephant, his tyranny
Was giving me and elephant
Especially elephant melancholy
did i mention elephants name (cloud)
You could her mc breath grab a ladder
And race over to elephant’s pen
And anchor it behind elephant and then
start climbing with a bucket of lube.
That man is trying to commit with his man tube
Angelic hierarchy on my elephant (cloud)
As well elephant has been widowed’
so at the moment elephant is with load,
having fluctuation from his rear
this gas come out at,,,, with such projections one can here,
if near, that it filled the sails of a man- of- war,
then tore the cloths off the men of war naked,
it was this very same thing that alerted
me to elephant plight, mc breath had climed up
the ladder only to be met by elephants flushed
exhaust and nearly caused mc his own death,
because i herd the noise, came running far,
there lay mc in a brownish yellow colour
elongated against the fence,
i was cloud watching?????? tool
