Pol's PoMoAva Go

Post by Pauline » Fri Apr 01, 2016 8:29 pm

I'm another Lune

Your harsh morning breath
stalks my lips.
Whoa, Back off sunshine.

Huzzah! Good one.

Save in the tapestries of afterthought.

Struggling Ros. Struggling.

Today I saw your face
in a splattering
of pigeon shit.
How apt, I thought.

Told ya!

At least this exercise has got me thinking about writing again.
I hadn't even tried for such a long time. :)

Thanks David.
Not the best poems, but at least it's getting the auld cogs moving again.
Can't promise a poem a day but I'll certainly try to be more productive that I have been.

I don't have a poem to post today.
My poetic prowess has gone astray.
Tomorrow may be a more fruitful day.

Thursday maybe?

Joy

Two magpies brought her name. She didn't live
up to it. Misery took permanent
residence in her face and full control
of her paper cut mouth. It played central
role on her war against fun and laughter.

Happiness, a destination never
to be reached. She would lean against the wall
of her tedious existence, catch sight
of her reflection slipping underneath
unfortunate choices made one dusty
afternoon. Wore that colour ever since.

Needs work. To be continued....
Just wanted to post something :)

Think you have something going with that though - worth working on.
I seem to have stalled too!

Hey, cheers Ros.
Gotta say this po-mo-av-lost-me-flo has made me sit down and start writing again.
So i thank you for that.
My efforts may be poor but at least I'm putting some effort in.
Which is more than I've done in a long time.
:)
