We know that! But that's brilliant, Ray. Well done.

Well done indeed, Penguin! :D

Save in the tapestries of afterthought.

Ah! Penguin is victorious overseas!

Good show, Ray. Applause!
. . . and it is a great poem too . . .

Thanks, Seth. I find it a bit odd that the judge professes not to understand the George Eliot and Jane Austen yet awards the poem first prize.

Only just spotted this.
Well done, mate!

It took 4 Byrds to conquer the UK but only 1 pigeon to conquer America (and without any help from the beetles).
Instead of just sitting on the fence - why not stand in the middle of the road?

Thanks, Geoff. Who'd have thought it? I feel like Hugh Laurie.

Congratulations, ray! Next endeavor/attempt is to conquer the world.

But what's the difference between poems written by American and British poets?
There must be. But how big is it?
I am asking because I once invited a friend and she mentioned UK forum and US forum.
When I join a forum, I never take this into consideration.

In the UK we spell endeavour with a "u".

Thanks, Lake. I think 40-50 years ago, there were Larkin and Betjeman, typical British poets, unlike anyone in America, that I've come across anyway. These days there's not so much difference, I don't think. We've a slightly different sense of humour and a lot of American poetry dwells upon the self rather more intensely than is healthy, perhaps. As for the difference in forums - they are all far too nice over there.

Good one. :) And pronounciation, too.
Thanks for the reply, Ray.
